CURRIES Celebrates 50 Years at Employee Family Picnic

Sunshine, fishing, food, games and prizes were in plentiful supply at the recent CURRIES Employee Family Picnic held on Saturday, June 21st. This year’s celebration also had a special emphasis on CURRIES’ 50th anniversary, which has been celebrated in various ways in 2008.

With more than 2,000 employees, retirees and family members on hand, a great time was had by all, especially those who took part in the first-ever Kids Fishing Contest. 

Honored at the picnic were 80 employees who recently achieved various employment milestones including Jerry Currie, who was honored for his 40 years with the company.  Nineteen employees were honored with 30 years of service, six for 25 years, four for 20 years, 19 for 15 years and 31 for 10 years of service.
