CURRIES Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Shrek Float for Community
CURRIES celebrated the Mason City North Iowa Band Festival Parade on Saturday, May 24th in grand fashion with a Shrek float that drew cheers from on-lookers throughout the parade.
As a part of the 50th Anniversary celebration, CURRIES employees built a unique float featuring Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, a smoke breathing Dragon, Puss-in-Boots and the Gingerbread Man among other characters. Along with the float more than 100 CURRIES employees and family members walked the parade handing out candy and waving to parade-goers.
Jerry Currie, President of CURRIES, was also honored this year as the Grand Marshall of the Band Festival parade. CURRIES is a long-time sponsor of the North Iowa Band Festival.
The CURRIES float and employees also participated in the Clear Lake Independence Day parade on July 4th.
