CURRIES Habitat House Update

The CURRIES sponsored Habitat for Humanity home being built in Mason City, Iowa continues to make steady progress despite bitterly cold temperatures and consistent snowfall.

CURRIES is helping sponsor the construction of the home as part of their 50th Anniversary celebration. They have completed the siding and soffits and have a few interior walls in place. However, in order to finish all the interior walls drawings for the monorail tracks are needed. The monorail tracks are necessary to assist one of the new homeowner's sons who is confined to a wheel chair. The monorail track system will assist him to move from his bedroom to the bathroom more easily. Once the walls are completed, an electrician will wire the home and the interior walls can be sheet rocked.
