The customer needs to supply the desired design pressure for each opening. Our product is tested to a maximum design pressure. The wind load is converted into a design pressure with adjustment factors for terrain, height above grade, importance factor, and opening location in the building. These may affect the design pressure by a factor of 4.
Bonderizing is a tradename for phosphatizing. CURRIES uses specialized equipment to apply an iron phosphatizing coating to the steel to improve paint adhesion and increase rust resistance.
The only industry standard for crush test specifications for hollow metal doors is ASTM F1450 for Detention Facilities. Our continuous hinge and lock channels improve the performance of our door in this test.

They can be painted or they can be replaced, but all replacements of fire labels have to be done under a field service inspection.
The E6 has equal positive and negative pressure label capabilities as the 707 except for limitations due to availability of the E6 steel.

Our 737 was tested flush and glazed to UL752, Level 2 bullet resistance. We don’t have certification to use a mail slot or viewer in the 737 door.

Listed and labeled kits can be used with our doors. Check with the window kit manufacturer for installation details and approved glazing with their kits.

This value has not been defined through testing. The value may approach the STC of a 747 single if a good quality sound seal system is used in the paired assembly.
The Type 8 kit can be used in a 727 door. It is probably specified because a temperature rise glazing is being used by the customer that requires a wider pocket. Temperature rise rating is retained if the area is 100 square inches maximum and subject to approval by local jurisdiction.
Yes, but we recommend that the customer purchase a flush pull manufactured with specialized tooling to eliminate the sharp edges and provide a more aesthetic finished look than we can provide on an integral pull.
We have specially prepared doors and frames to receive cladding, but we do not apply the cladding. Applying cladding to CURRIES fire rated doors and frames voids the fire label.
None of our doors work well with a powder coat finish due to the high temperature to cure the paint. All doors have body filler on the door edge to fill welds or seams. The body filler tends to crack and fall out when heated above 300°F. If a customer powder coats a door CURRIES is not responsible for the effect on the body filler. The 707 door adhesive and polystyrene core will both be destroyed at these temperatures. Only the 747 door should be considered for applying a powder coat finish, but CURRIES will not warrant the outcome.
The correct way would be to drill all of the welds on the top end channel and remove the closer reinforcement along with the end channel.

Exterior grade Pyrostop requires a 1-11/16" minimum pocket width. We can only offer this in a 2" thick door. The exterior grade Pyrostop can be offered in a 1-3/4" door because the pocket is less than 1-5/8".
Yes, these doors can be supplied in any opening height increment (e.g. 6’10½") between these heights.
Yes we can, it has to be our type 1 kit.
Yes, you can as long as the lites together do not exceed 100 sq. inches. Example: 2 lites with each lite being 5" x 10", with 6" between each lite.

CURRIES doesn’t have a frame with a 2 hour fire rating. We have a frame with a 1-1/2 hour rating which is typically the frame that is used in a 2 hour drywall wall (verify with local jurisdiction).

The portion of the wall below the borrowed lite or half sidelite is considered a sill. It is noncombustible if it is constructed of fire resistant materials (e.g. concrete or masonry block).
Yes, but it must be filled by welding a metal filler back into place on the frame and then only by a licensed second location fire labeling distributor.
