CURRIES Observes Earth Day ~/link/b57d8123b9824a88a09d45e51e4ecec8.jpg In observance of Earth Day, eighteen CURRIES® team members took part in two cleanup and beautification projects around the CURRIES frame manufacturing and office complex. Team members divided up into two groups. One group focused on cleaning up both sides of Benjamin Avenue which adjoins the property to the west. This same group then focused on cleaning up around the north side of the manufacturing facility. Approximate 35 pounds of litter was collected and removed. The second group’s efforts were directed towards enhancing the prairie grass preserve located on the property by planting native wildflowers. A showcase of natural prairie flowers should grace us in the coming years. “Earth Day is a day we should all commit to doing something extra to help reduce our impact on the environment,” said David Bill, part of the organizing group for the event. “It is the right thing to do.” Today marks the third year in a row that CURRIES team members were given the opportunity to participate in Earth Day activities.
